IPPs

We are underway as a Cadette troop and having a lot of fun! We have worked on 2 projects, Food and Travel, and once we complete our service projects for both we will have earned our first two IPPs.
The girls have done a great job showing leadership by choosing, planning and instructing their meetings. I think they pay better attention to each other and really get more out of the meeting. They also are learning its not as easy as it looks to get these meetings together.
Here are a couple of photos of us at the HAFB museum. We did a scavenger hunt while working on the Travel IPP.

Our next meeting will be Dec 10.. each girl as been asked to bring stocking stuffers, food donations and a gift of less than $5 for our annual game.

Cadettes

The bridging ceremony went great! And we are already seeing the difference in the girls. The girls have chosen and planned out who is doing what parts to complete there first IPP's (Interest Project Patches). As a leader I was very impressed to see them choose, meet requirements, and plan who and how their patches would be done! I cant wait to see their plans in action.
Parents, please touch base with your daughters on what they have committed to do. We don't want parents doing it, but we know this is new and additional responsibility for them, and a watchful eye can be helpful. If the girls don't have their stuff together for their assigned meeting, its going to be a long boring meeting!

Chchchch changes!

We are really excited about what is coming over the next few months! July we are camping out at Jordenelle, August we are painting the town green in SLC. September we are taking the next step in our Girl Scout journey.
Bridging to Cadettes will bring a lot of changes, and a lot of more freedom and fun for our girls. We are having a parent meeting with the girls to go over the new changes and how things will run with our Cadette troop on August 6. We will meet at Sandridge park, have help for younger siblings and root beer floats afterward. As leaders we are really excited about empowering the girls and offering them leadership skills in our new journey!
